Dulcea has been taking violin lessons for about 2 months now. Well, she is actually playing a happy melody but from the face you can tell that she still hasnt fallen in love with the instrument. She is playing for just like 10 mins a day so far.

Dulcea is in love with butterfly deeply. She insisted on playing the role of a butterfly in her drama class and eventually the teacher yielded. Just to quote her words, “I dont think I want to be the smartest anymore, I just want to be the most beautiful!". This was from the talent show by the end of her first school year. Dulcea is fairly fluent in English now. We have to remind her it is super cool to be bilingual, just like Kai-lan. Well, she always answered me back by saying it is even better to be trilingual (she learned a little bit Spanish from Dora).

Dulcea and Roman went back to see grandpa for the very last time this summer. It was also the very first time for Roman. Roman spent totally less than 10 minutes in the emergence room. Grandpa gave us the faintest smile and yet the strongest one. He is our inspiration to smile to life no matter how hard it is.

Dulcea has been asking mom to teach her how to play piano for a while. She pretends to practise a lot with her toy pianos. Occasionally, she fought with mom's students on who to play the grand piano first. She creid in dancing classes because she was not asked to dance before all other kids. We kept telling her that you dont need to be number 1 in everything, just do your very best on a very few things that you love deeply. Well, she doesnt agree with me on this so far. Hope she will sooner than later. For the record, now she does let dad win 1 or 2 games after she wins first.

Finally, I am a school girl now!

Dulcea took 3 lessons on her first day: Chinese, art and dance. We had to drop the art class so she can take a break from the 2nd week. Well, her student career lasted just about 1 day. She was promoted to be the teacher's assistant to teach other 3-5 year kids how to speak Chinese: “大老虎在森林里给小老鼠拜年！” because she was the only one in class who can speak the sentence fluently. Daddy and mommy had always known that she enjoyed teaching much more than learning. That's a problem for a 2 year old though!

From time to time, Dulcea would like to kiss or blow a gentle breeze over the wounds on dad. She believes the kiss cures. It really melts my heart.

She wants to be a pediatrician, a repairer and a musician for now. I suppose a good musician who heals the hearts of kids is her career.
At two and half, she finally finished a potrait all by herself. It is the doll that she is kissing if you can not tell. :) (Comments: Actually, Dad is wrong on this. The portrait is of strawberry shortcake.)

A big milestone: Dulcea is 20 month now and is old enough to make comments on all her photos. She has learned so such, can talk with 500 words in Chinese, can sing the tune of over 50 songs, can play a trick or two. 喜欢“踩”蘑菇，会要买路“踩”. There are still so much to learn.
